About YEC

A Growing Company with Montana Values
Yellowstone Environmental Contracting (YEC) is an Eastern Montana family-owned Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) specializing in construction erosion control. Founded in the fall of 2010, YEC began operations with one contracted project and two employees. From those humble beginnings YEC has grown into a full-service company offering erosion control planning, permitting, and design and implementation of Best Management Practices (BMPs). YEC is now one of the larger erosion control blanket (ECB) installation companies in the Mid-West with yearly production numbers above 600,000 square yards. YEC acquired Evergreen Landscaping & Irrigation Co. in 2018 and now provides landscaping services in Eastern Montana.
The YEC Way
YEC maintains low overhead by focusing on long-term business relationships, engaging a mobile and flexible workforce and specializing in ECB projects. YEC's standard business practice is to subcontract with local seeding companies, resulting in competitive bids for that scope of work. Through this business model YEC stays highly mobile, allowing it to operate in multiple states on multiple projects without compromising project deadlines.
